How to Help

Augusta Victoria Hospital (AVH) provides medical care to all in need, regardless of patients' ability to pay. Because of this, AVH provides a great deal of charity care. This is only possible because of donors who generously give of their time and resources to keep AVH serving the Palestinian community, especially the poor and refugees.

Financial Contributions

Financial donations to AVH are extremely helpful, because the hospital can use donated funds in the place that they are most needed. Financial contributions help us to provide healthcare to the poor, employ the AVH staff (thereby supporting hundreds of families), purchase life-saving medical supplies, and expand the services available at the hospital. You can either make a general donation, or specify that you want to donate to the Poor Fund (click here to download information on the Poor Fund in PDF). If you wish to earmark funds for another specific purpose, please contact us at the address below at left. To make donations, please send a check made out to the Lutheran World Federation and marked "AVH donation" to the address below at left, or transfer funds electronically to our account (below at right). All donors will be sent a receipt.

Donations of Supplies

AVH is grateful for donations of medical supplies. However, to ensure the best usage of the medical supplies that you wish to donate, please contact us first at the address below at left, so that we can be sure that we can use the supplies.

Volunteering and Technical Assistance

If you are a health professional who wishes to volunteer your time and skills at AVH for at least a three month period, please contact us at the address below at left.
